COMPANY PROFILE

Poised^®is a health and fitness studio providing fitness training, nutritional counseling and healthful lifestyle planning to individuals, small groups and corporate small groups.

Poised^®combines multiple training modalities to produce a unique style of exercise, creating a convenient total training experience. This training joined with nutritional counseling and healthful lifestyle planning allows clients to derive greater wholelife wellness that enhances their lives on a daily basis.

OUR STUDIO

The Poised^® studio design was created to give our clients a sense of relaxation while at the same time a feeling of renewed energy. Each area is naturally illuminated with skylights, allowing the feeling of openness. Our state of the art Balanced BodyPilates^® equipment is throughout the private pilates area and in the small group training room. Our separate strength training room is equipped with Cybex’s Professional equipment, Tribar free weights and a variety of core training apparatus.

We are conveniently located on the El Camino, one traffic signal north of Stanford Shopping Center. Parking is directly behind out building. [directions]

ABOUT THE OWNERS

Poised^® is the result of the combined expertise and talents of Yvonne Tally and Jill Plant. Together, they represent over 40 years in the health and fitness industry, portraying a true example of what they teach to others by living it themselves. Their commitment to living life to the fullest, sharing and caring for others and their deep loyalty to one another as best friends is the driving and abiding energy behind all that Poised^® has become and will be. Strengthened by their amazing trainers and employees along with family and friends, Yvonne and Jill hope to bring the Poised^® philosophy and experience to individuals seeking a more balanced and healthful lifestyle.

Poised^® Owners Yvonne Tally and Jill Plant, are members in good standing with the distinguished American College of Sports Medicine. The ACSM Health and Fitness Policies and Guidelines are the standards Poised^® adheres to in all aspects of client care and service.

ACE is one of the US leading Fitness Instructor and Trainer Certification Organizations in the U.S. Poised^® abides by the standards set by the American Council on Exercise.

Balanced Body Pilates^®
Balanced BodyPilates^® is the world’s leading full service pilates company, providing standard-setting instructor certification and training, marketing support and top-of-the-line equipment. The Poised^® studio is fully equipped with Balanced Body apparatus and equipment and part of Balanced Body’s elite preferred studio referrals.

Today, Mali is one of the poorest countries in the world but its past is a vital part of the great African empires.
